Reminiscing Blue Skies and Binding Ties
There were moments when we were close
Running freely in that familiar field
We broke down walls of defense
And bonded like brothers
But time had a race with us
We lost miserably as we barely kept up
We broke the allegiance
And stood as time passed us by
As u led a life uncommon
I was living mine
Yet when the blue moon came
The chord was struck like before
While I planned to savor
My moments into words
You planned to rescind
Your words into moments
As I stepped in
You stepped out
But that moment in between
The chord was struck again
I saw the end
And then I saw the start
There was a difference
Yet I could feel the bonds
Never strong like before
But wavering between the lines
There were thoughts
Seemingly familiar yet miles apart
I saw messages for tomorrow
Embedded them in mind
Inspired and prepared I am
For the journey ahead
A legend in this league
Or so I was told
I thought you were common
Till you prove otherwise
Now I truly regret
The words I have missed
As you draw the curtains
Kudos to a life uncommon
A tribute to a legend, a friend, an acquaintance and a brother I barely knew
